Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the Imposter Party apps for iPhone and Android collect, why, and what you can do about it. Imposter Party is published by DF Tech Consulting AB, Sweden, which is the data controller. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect and why

  • Anonymous user ID. A random identifier created on first launch. There is no account, email address or login. It lets you host and join games, keeps your purchase across reinstalls, and groups crash and usage data. Stored with Firebase (Google), RevenueCat and the analytics and crash services below.
  • Nickname and game content you create. The nickname you type, your room settings and any custom location packs you build are stored in Firebase Firestore (Google) and shown to the other players in your room. Rooms are deleted automatically within 24 hours of the last activity.
  • Purchase history. Which product you bought, when, and at what price, handled by RevenueCat and by the App Store or Google Play, so Premium can be granted and restored.
  • Usage analytics. Screens viewed, game events such as a round starting or a vote being called, app version, device model, operating system, language and country, collected with Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is played and improve it.
  • Crash and diagnostic data. Stack traces, device model and operating system version, collected with Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to find and fix bugs.
  • Advertising ID and install events. The device advertising identifier, with app-launch, first-game and purchase events, is shared with TikTok for Business to measure whether our ads led to installs. On Android this uses the Google Advertising ID. On iPhone the identifier is only available if you allow tracking when asked.
  • Feedback you send. If you use Send Feedback in Settings, your email app opens with the message addressed to us, and we receive whatever you choose to send.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location or photos. Payments are handled entirely by Apple and Google; we never see card details.

Camera: the app uses the camera only while you scan a room QR code. No image is stored or sent anywhere.

Notifications: if you allow them, reminders are scheduled on your device. No push token is stored on our servers.

Third-party services

  • Firebase by Google: sign-in, game database, analytics and crash reporting. Firebase privacy
  • RevenueCat: subscription management. RevenueCat privacy
  • TikTok for Business: install attribution. TikTok privacy
  • Apple App Store and Google Play: payment processing.

Each provider processes data under its own policy. We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

  • Game rooms and everything in them are deleted automatically within 24 hours of the last activity.
  • Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months; detailed event data for 2 months.
  • Crash reports and your anonymous ID are kept by the services above according to their retention settings.
  • Purchase records are kept as long as needed to honour your purchase and as required by law.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the app removes the data stored on your device. To have your anonymous ID and the analytics and purchase records linked to it deleted, email [email protected] with the Support ID shown at the bottom of the app's Settings screen. We act on requests within 30 days.

Children

The game suits all ages but is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. The anonymous ID and analytics described above apply to every player.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or EEA you may request access to, correction of or deletion of your data, or object to its processing, by emailing [email protected]. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in Sweden that is IMY. You can withdraw ad tracking on iPhone under Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking, and reset or delete your Advertising ID in your device's Google settings on Android.

Changes to this policy

When our practices change we will update this page and its effective date.
